Default How google treats links from Twitter and Facebook

Great, informative video from Google on how they treat links from Twitter and Facebook.

    Thanks Jake.

I actually posted the same video on my twitter last night. Grwat info on how people shyould be using social media to promote their sites.. especially with the changing landscape of search.. such as real time search and location based search.

On another note about what they talked about in the video.. I had always thought (and still to to be honest) that .edu and .gov sites held more weight than a normal .com - but straight from the horses mouth Google says they are no different to .com ?

If you get a chance watch some of the other videos there on that channel. some pretty good stuff.

Interesting about sites having a different weight. I guess Google can't really say that a .edu or .gov should be weighted higher then a .com

I think it is that .edu and .gov have more authority based on the content and the reference material of the site.

People naturally link to them and link to them a lot, so its not really extension related, more so that people trust the information on them.
