Default any worthwile pay per sale programs for small businesses

Hi all, I'm looking at possible pay per sale / affiliate programs to have others promote my products. One replied that I wouldn't be accepted because affiliates would not be interested in promoting my products (www.alexandradesign.com.au) - would I get a similar response from the others?

Other than that, can anyone suggest a low budget but effective method to get more traffic / sales (Besides articles, Adwords, link building - already doing these), or marketing companies to charge by results only.

    Thanks, Leisa

Hey Leisa.. have you thought about PPC ads on facebook? these have been fantastic for us.

What about paying a referral fee to your existing client base for those that refer your business?

Nothing better than word of mouth advertising!

Thanks Brendan, I noticed a while ago that most new work comes to me through referrals, so now I pay a flat fee to my clients when their friend makes their first printing order. I did try a Facebook ad for just a week as an experiment and didn't receive any enquiries from it - not long enough? I guess it's worth working on, maybe 'pay per click' rather than 'pay per impression', also I could experiment with who I target.
