have you heard of Bob Proctor?
Hi all,
Just thought I'd let you in on what Ive been up to in the past few months. And also let you know that you too can achieve the same sort of results as I have.
In April I was working 50 hours/week as a carpenter. Now I work about 3 hours per day , at home, in my own online personal development business, making triple the $$
Bob Proctor is one of the teachers from the film "The Secret".Bob also helped develop the system I have been using that has enabled me to give away my fulltime job, and travel the world with like minded entrepreneurs, working my new business as I go.
Feel free to check it out at www.polarismediagroup.com
my personal website is www.educenow.com
if you'd like to know any more info about what its all about and how to make some serious $$ in a short period of time feel free to leave me a message at my site, or email me mstoppar@bigpond.net.au
cheers,
Marty Stoppard

Hi Brendan,
Thanks for the message, more than happy to expand on what it is I do.
Polaris’s ( The company I work with) mission is to help men and women achieve success and gain financial independence by providing effective educational materials and events that enhance self confidence and grow self reliance. We believe that the individual has the ability to realize their inherent potential and live a life of personal fulfillment.
Through a range of self developement products including books,c.d's, dvd's and functions held in various, exotic places around the world, we teach and are taught the principles to success.
You may have seen the film or read the book "the secret"? The secret to the "secret" is the universal law of attraction ie; like attracts like.
positive energy attracts more positive energy, and vice versa negative attracts more negaitive.Hence our programs revolve around bringing out the best in people, and setting them up for a life of prosperity and abundance in all areas of their lives, not only financially.
I realise this is a lot to swallow in a paragraph or two. This is why we have a progressive program of material to follow.
As such, I don't "harrass" people to "sign up" to anything, or try to convince my family or friends to join.
moreover I am looking to expose this incredible opportunity to as many people as possible, and in doing so, this will resonate with the right sort of people. This is how a network of individuals is formed.
Our programs are marketed by these individual associates all over the globe. But surprisingly enough, Australia is leading the way! This form of marketing is called direct selling. As apposed to mlm marketing, where by profit from sales is broken up between many people, direct marketing has the profit from a sale going directly to the person who made the sale.
As I mentioned in my earlier post I was a carpenter, for 20 years. I now have the time and money spend with my wife and family, to travel with like minded people, and simply do what we were put on this earth to do.
Live life to the full !
I hope this helps to clear up what it is I do ?
If any of this resonates with you, and you would like to know more, or God fobid... join me ! lol ,I would be happy to hear from you.
cheers,

With all due respect Marty, I would firstly like to say congratulations on finding financial freedom, however every time I see the words 'the Secret' I have to have a double check, I understand the whole thing... think good and good things happen, but is it a bit misleading?
I am young, probably a bit skeptical of the whole deal based on the fact that there are so many self help things out there which is of course what you're offering... I've read a few books and would have to say that I would honestly rather read something that is a biography of a "real" successful person, not someone who strung a bunch of words together and make money from people who blindly follow them along, purchasing dvd's and various other items that will unlock some magical wealth.
To get to the point.
Is this just another one of these such schemes, exploiting the minds of people whom may be desperately looking for the next "get rich quick" solution or is it a genuine opportunity?
Sorry if I sound a bit wankerish.. It's just I've just turned 20, and I always get told by all these people who are 40 about how amazing the secret, or rich dad poor dad is... I understand some of the things mentioned in either text may be of assistance but it is definitely not something that should be taken as the magic pill for riches, yet these people genuinely believe it is, constantly pouring their hard earned cash into this system.
cheers
Josh.

All due respect (actually, no respect at all) the moment I see some plastic all-American family in a film clip with that extinct volcano near Waikiki in the background ... I know straight away this company is flogging a truly quality product that specifically targets Aussie entrepreneurs.
Give us a break!
To be successful at business you need get into business and then focus on getting your message to market and continuous improvements.
It is not rocket science. In fact, I have met some really stupid people who have done very well in business.
Want to make "serious money in a short period of time", then the risk/return ration changes significantly. Why not invest it all at the races? You may even get better odds.
Acuce, if you think I am being harsh, think again. I actually feel just as sorry for people who plug this crap. Tough way to make a living and - maybe some time in the future - you will realise that, all along, you were the biggest sucker of all.

Educe,
Thanks for sharing your website, and I wish you the very best at helping others find success. However you will find using that kind of full sales spiel provided by the company you are an agent for does not go down so well here in Australia.
Australians in general (not trying to fully stereotype) are not as approving of success and are more skeptical then other cultures, like America for example. Rather than congratulate people on how well they've done, we tend to put people down.
I am personally highly skeptical of the things like what you are pushing, but it doesn't mean its not right for some people like yourself. Just stay passionate, and be congruent with your message. Speak from the heart not from the sales spiel and you may find your message reaches someone who is looking for it. So good luck.
Josh, I understand your point of view on the books and systems. I encourage you to keep reading and learning, those books may not speak to you but if you keep learning and educating yourself in business, finance, life, you will find ones that have a message you are ready for at your stage in life.
I too when I was younger, around 15, read some of my first books on finance and motivation and I got bits out of it, a year or 2 ago I re-read some of these books and actually got alot more out of it, because I am now at a different stage of life and more open to different messages now based on my previous learning.

Oh I do read, and I agree nearly every book does have content that can be used in a positive way, however many stories seem very very far fetched. For example I've read a few books that have been passed onto me, such as rich dad poor dad, the secret, think and grow rich... and as a motivational source I get it is okay.
But as far as becoming financially stable I would by far recommend Benjamin Grahams The Intelligent Investor, based purely on the fact it isn't really selling you something... like seminars or other courses which promise to teach you so much, yet seem like big motivational (procrastination) sessions to suck the vulnerable people in and take their money.
I guess I hate seeing people get scammed, but also I have a view that people are free to make their choices on how they live their life... but that gets stopped as soon as others are being taken on in fallacious statements provided by the companies, to constantly upgrade packages.
Idk, I guess I've read too many cases of people being taken for a ride at uni. =\
Cheers,
Josh.
