Hmm I like the idea of the restriction but don't like the signature viewing restriction

I was just browsing through as a guest before logging in and everyone's signature had this in it

To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

To have links in your signature I understand having a post count but to view them?

I think this point made here is pretty valid. I pop in for a browse but don't always log in until I'm going to post so it would be good to access all the links just to see who's doing what or if that paticular post is something worth replying to....

I don't like the way posts are displaying barely 2 inches wide. It makes the longer posts incredibly hard to read

GROUPS ? - either I am not navigating correctly or I have initiated the only group in here? Maybe look to have Groups more visible instead of tucked away as a tab in the navigation menu - if the Groups were more visible then you would likely encourage more people to become members of a group [or start their a new one], which then gives continuity to a topic "theme" (which may have been posted 100 times at different times but the threads are disjointed due to time and the fluidity of members etcetera, etcetera .

That is the problem I have in forums anyway, finding info on a particular subject without asking the same question asked 37 times in different topic threads. Groups can have topic specific sub-menus can't they? For example, a Group called "SEO that will have Gugel Smokin' ...." could have sub sections like linking, writing techniques, cms, images, bla bla bla ..... in the same way the forum has. So a group is a forum within a forum right?

    cheers,
    Mike

    More users and more conversations.

I have been following a specialist car forum for about 14 years and it keeps growing. What they did, and still do is have a .pdf file for download with the site details and an invite to join (business card size). I can then download and print these and when I see a relevant car or meet an owner I hand them the card.

If they join and talk about their car it growsthe content. Perhaps we can do the same and invite business owners and contacts in our community to join and share.

Nice idea 32408. I know they are working on changes but this should also be considered.

Yeah. It's one of those things. Always people cruising the site. Lots of Members. But engagement needs to ramp up.

So don't be shy people. It's the internet you know ... nobody really knows who you are. LOL.
