    Default DEMO - Ideas Anyone?

Hey everyone or anyone who's reading this..

I am now doing a DEMO for my product. My product is online- based. So I was thinking of making a movie-demo where the clip shows a step-2-step how it works thing (i.e.; mouse cursor moves to browser types in domain name... mouse cursor moves to box and insert data.. something like what u see in the big HUGE iphone u see in every MAC store).

But then since I am not a multimedia student, so gotta learn how to do it from scratch.

Any idea what program is needed to do such a movie clip?

    Suggestions will be deeply appreciated

    Hi

First time poster. Actually only just registered!

You could try Camtasia. Really easy to use and you can record your screen actions as a movie and record your voice as you do it.

Otherwise Adobe Captivate works well for this too. You can enter text boxes and so on with Captivate, and it records your mouse clicks and handles the movement from one action to another for you. Very powerful for demos.

You can get a trial copy of each and they're worth trying.

Otherwise you can google for screen recording programs and there might be some others.

Screen recording is a great idea, have you also thought about providing a demo login account also?

I know when I am testing a new online product I prefer to be able to see the real thing in action as opposed to just watching a video.

To be honest, I deal with Premium SMS. So it is kind of tricky this way. Because giving them free access to my demo = SPAM, and if they are to be treated like the end-users, they will get charged a premium price! haha..
