Default Does Everyone Reads The Papers in Australia?

Well, since I have decided on doing e-marketing and targeting those of a certain age where internet purchases are fully utilized, i am worried about the advertising issue.

Planning on national newspaper.. but does everyone there read The Australian? or perhaps local papers such as perthnow, sydney herald and so on.

Becoz i thought of the radio and tv.. but then memorizing my new brand name while listening it on the radio or watching tv wouldn't be a good idea because the attention and memorizing span is not there...

    Please do enlighten me

    Thanks!

In Melbourne, the main papers people read are
    The Age
    Herald Sun

I don't see a lot of people reading The Australian on the trains in the mornings... although quite a few read the AFR (AFR is a national paper)

Of course then there are the MX papers which are given out for free at stations etc.

    Cheers,

    The Y-man

Only rich snobs read The Australian. It is very boring and full of actual informative business news. There is no real widespread national paper.

In South Australia you get copies of The Advertiser and Sunday Mail lying around everywhere (as if you'd pay for such a seriously news-free publication) that you can just read free, if you don't mind coffee stains. We read our out of date Advertisers at our local cafe. There are usually scantily-clad females on page 3 to look at, and sometimes there is even actual news in there too.
