Default How do you handle invoicing and cashflow?

    Hi all,

I'm doing some quick research on how other small businesses deal with invoicing and cashflow. I know from my own experience that as a small to medium sized business, these can be tricky issues.

I'd really appreciate if you could fill out this 5 question, 30 second form I've created with WuFoo!

    invcme [dot] wufoo [dot] com/forms/accounts-receivable-in-your-business/

A bit more background, I'm from a new startup called invc [dot] me. We're building a tool that helps you invoice but focuses on helping you get paid faster. Any feedback is appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Chris

I take most of my payments electronically through PayPal and use the money request function at the end of a project (or to request a part-payment at the start of a larger one). I tend to issue invoices more to my UK customers and used the templates in MS Word to create them.

Cashflow isn't to big an issue for me. I write, I earn money, I pay myself a wage and my partner spends it before asking for more!

    Rigmonkey, thanks for the comments.

It sounds like you are quite happy with the solution you have mentioned. If you could use the system to upload your Word docs and have it store a copy and send reminders, would you? I'm not sure if you completed the survey...as those questions are part of it.

    Keen to hear your thoughts!

Busy day ahead, Chris, but I'll try to pop on over the weekend to have a go at the survey. Must admit I'm in the lucky position where practically all of my clients are prompt payers and reminders are incredibly infrequent. I have a fairly good system for recording payments and non-payments, but I'm more than happy to look at your services and at least give you some feedback.

    Done!

I've also entered the mail address I use for receiving updates and newsletters, Chris. At this moment in time, my business model isn't likely to need such a service but I'm happy to receive further information just in case future demand and groeth changes my requirements.

    Good luck with the venture!
