Landing Pages and Squeeze Pages

What are the differences, please?

I notice many pages that try to get people to subscribe are quite short. How do you do SEO on these pages? I want to buid a list and now have some reports to give away with free distribution rights. Do I need a squeeze page or a landing page? How much does it cost to have one made? Where does the information go?
