A little bit more about us:

We're a new startup based in Perth, Western Australia.

We decided to start a recruitment business as we know how the traditional recruitment model works and would like to challenge that. We know how the traditional model works from different perspectives - as an employer looking for staff, a candidate looking for work, and know how agencies work and what they charge. Knowing all that, we wanted to provide a truly transparent, affordable and flexible level of recruitment support to small businesses, because we're one ourselves! :-)

If given the opportunity to demonstrate our model I'm sure the merits will be apparent in using our online recruitment portal service.

The above survey will help us to refine and improve our service offering and make sure we are relevant for businesses and not waste anyone's time,
    which is invaluable.

All the best to fellow tycoons in this forum and may the new 2012 year be filled with happiness, success and good health.

    Hey Draftpick

I don't want to be mean but does anyone ever think about the abbreviated version of your business name. The first time I read it I though it said DAFTpickrecruitment.

When you design the logo and the website, make sure the first word (Draft) is in a really clear font and preferably large to avoid this trap.

    Also, just did your survey.

You're worried about the abbreviated version? Try the anagram version and see where that gets you (and I'm not going to work it out for you as I don't want Amanda to bar me!).

Maybe a good idea to check out the following site on ideas for choosing a great business name because at the moment, the hilarity I'm getting out of your existing one is killing me!

    Hi guys,

Hahaha, cheers for sharing your point of view guys.

I'm sure there are bound to be funny controversial variations of many business names which make us remember a business, but I'm sure if they provide a quality service or product (which we certainly strive to do) we also remember them for the right reasons.

We've progressed quite far with our business operations already, so we're here to stay.

Good luck with your business endeavours guys and thanks for doing the survey.

    Cheers.

This is a hysterical thread. It gives true meaning to ROFL.

Hey Jeremy, I can understand if you have invested a lot into your business. And i guarantee it will be memorable.

perhaps one day your business will make this list:

Top 10 companies with unfortunate domain names that can easily be misunderstood. (source: Independent Sources)
    1. A site called “Who Represents” where you can find the name of the agent that represents a celebrity. Their domain name… wait for it… is
      www.whorepresents.com
    2. Experts Exchange, a knowledge base where programmers can exchange advice and views at
      www.expertsexchange.com
    3. Looking for a pen? Look no further than Pen Island at
      www.penisland.net
    4. Need a therapist? Try Therapist Finder at
      www.therapistfinder.com
    5. Then of course, there’s the Italian Power Generator company…
      www.powergenitalia.com
    6. And now, we have the Mole Station Native Nursery, based in New South Wales:
      www.molestationnursery.com
    7. If you’re looking for computer software, there’s always
      www.ipanywhere.com
    8. Welcome to the First Cumming Methodist Church. Their website is
      www.cummingfirst.com
    9. Then, of course, there’s these brainless art designers, and their whacky website:
      www.speedofart.com
    10. Want to holiday in Lake Tahoe? Try their brochure website at
      www.gotahoe.com

After this, it'd be absolutely criminal to change the name. Some genuine bellly laughs!

    Pete - Absolutely brilliant.

Jeremy - Keep up the good work: Only us wierdos would see that anyway!

King - I'm unsurprised that farting that amuses you.
