Default Have Money-Making Products Had Their Day?

How many forum members are still investing in 'get rich quick' schemes levelled at the Internet Marketing community?

I've spent a significant amount of the past two months looking at a range of different offers ranging from a video course that's been done thousands of times before (build a website and add adsense/clickbank products) to supposedly automated software programs that can be initiated with 5 clicks and are 'guaranteed' to make you money inside 48 hours. I was lucky enough to get these products on a review basis and to be entirely frank, I found it very hard to say anything good about them.

I'm in the process of adding content to one of my websites with the idea of getting readers away from these notoriously disappointing products but have a couple of questions to ask you guys...

    1. Are you still buying similar products yourself? If so, what are your experiences? If you aren't buying them, why are you keeping clear?
    2. If you still buy products regularly, which ones have been the most fulfilling? Which ones disappointed you? Who's putting the best products out there at this moment in time?

I'd like as much feedback as possible on this, folks. I personally have my own ideas on the subject but a range of opinions would certainly help me in refining my own arguments.

Yes. It's safe to say that they have had their day. I hope so, anyway. They ruin the credibility of serious marketers.

Rather than wasting countless thousands of dollars on worthless products, I'd recommend that anybody with money to invest pay for some mentoring instead. One-on-one tuition will teach you so much more than a package of badly-produced videos and poorly-written software ever will.

With the type of products that you are talking about the only person who gets rich is the guy who sets it up in the first place. There will always be opportunities out there to make money however generally they do require that you put in a fair amount of work to do the research to work out what people want and how much they are prepared to pay.

My advice is to analyse what the product is offering before dismissing things entirely. If you're being promised the opportunity to make $38,351 in 30 days, it's pretty obvious you're only going to get lied to further. Essentially, great money-making products offer information and there are still plenty of them out there. This kind of agrees with OnefortheMoney and his ideas on mentoring. Unfortunately, mentoring is expensive but you can still get great information and tuition if you purchase the right courses.

Here's a tip: Never fall for the scarcity tactics. There's no truth in the fact that there are only 6 copies of a course left. There's no truth in the fact that you'll only get the discounted price until midnight. BE PATIENT. Most courses will be available for at least 6 months so sit tight and wait to read reviews from people who have tried the course. Don't use independent websites for reviews as the webmaster will most likely be an affiliate for the product. Use resources such as The Warrior Forum where people actually test out these things before offering their opinions. Read everything, because affiliates will post about the credentials of a product on a forum as well. However, reading through an entire thread and absorbing each individual post (especially from War Room members with a high post count) should help you to make an informed decision.
