Question Pricing ideas for WordPress websites

    Hello everybody,
I am having a tough time trying to find the right pricing for my WordPress website packages.
I'm wondering if you guys could give me some feedback and ideas or just your thoughts

    I'm considering having 3 options:
$250 basic limited WordPress website but all you need to get up and running(including one year free hosting)

$1990 the ultimate unlimited WordPress website with everything you need and more, with custom-design, and unlimited everything.

Contact for quote, where we work out a price based on each client's needs.

    Should I have more options?
Shall I maybe have a more limited premium version?
Is my basic one too expensive or too cheap?

I would love to hear your feedback on this it would really help me a lot.
    Best Regards,

I'm trying to see how you're wording this, Philip - The $250 website offers all you need to get up and running. The $1900 website gives you everything you need and more. Couldn't a client essentially get the same deal from a $250 website as he could from a $1900 website by saying his 'more' is 'needed?

Be specific in what you are offering. If a basic site is a five page Wordpress site with hosting and a domain name that contains a home page, about us page, contact page, testimonial page and portfolio page, list the components down for your customers. Is the cost of written content included or must they generate that themselves? If they do the writing themselves, are you including optimisation within your price? if you aren't, will you outsource your content so your customers get a website that performs well in the search engines?

What do your customers get for $1900 that warrants an additional $1650 spend. It had better be pretty special because that's a huge leap.

Don't throw your services out there yet. You don't know what they actually are yourself and doing things 'on the fly' will only land you in trouble eventually. Decide on what you are offering before establishing a price and always show your customers where the value is. Remember that value is not limited to price. It's about the entire package.

Hi again, Phillip. Apologies for not getting back to this thread sooner.

I've taken a look and the staging levels of the pricing seem more accurate. I particularly like the use of martial arts belts for package names. Very clever stuff considering your business name!

The only thing I'd maybe change is the 'extra everything' bit and list what you're actually providing. The more that's on the page, the better the offer looks. Apart from that, it looks much, much better.

    The name is Paul, BTW.
