Default Another "hi" from Melbourne :)

    Hey all

I was introduced to this Forum by Brendan whom I met via a mutual friend. I'm not sure how I can assist or contribute, but we'll see how it goes. I guess I'm a bit of an "ideas" person as I'm always thinking of better and/or more efficient ways of doing things (or criticising what others have done LOL).

A little bit about me: I'm 34yo, currently working in sales for a US-owned company. I'll come right out and tell you that I've recently declared myself bankrupt after my last business went belly-up in late 2005 (3 retail outlets, in partnership with my brother and his fiancee). Lots of lessons learnt there, let me tell you, but it was mainly because of the landlord whom we had 2 premises with than any other factor - I'll spare you the details for now.

I'm also a photographer, and have run 3 photographic businesses (2 sole-trader, 1 in partnership) since 1997, shooting mainly for publications & corporate events, plus the odd wedding/portraiture shoot (which I still do).

Other than that I am also dabbling with Foreign Exchange trading. My other half gave up full-time work recently to concentrate on this, with the aim of eventually setting up animal conservation programmes and other eco/enviro-friendly programmes. She'll be coaching me soon, so I hope to do FX trading full-time too. It'll give me the means to bounce back from bankruptcy, and then assist her with her goals & our goals plus get me on the path to turn my numerous ideas into reality.

Anyways, a big thanks to Brendan et al for making this forum a reality.
    Here's to us!

    Cheers, Dish.

    Hey Dish,

Great to have you on board! Excellent intro and its great to see that you are actually trying to make things work for you. Even though you have had some hard times in business, looks like you have learnt from it and have not been disheartend!

Most successful entrepreneuers have been bankrupt a few times, and have come back bigger and stronger for it, so you could be on the right path!

Would be good to hear more about your ideas.. maybe post them in the general section for discussion!
