Default Startups in the Current market place

I wondering what are your thoughts on starting a business in the current market.

With the possibility of another interest rate rise and the cost of fuel rapidly eating away at consumers disposable income (and not to mention our own profit margins, for off line businesses that is) do you think its wise to start up a new venture?

I would like to know everybody's thoughts on this subject as I'm sure everyone is going to have some good insights into this.

I have been thinking about this as well, I guess it really depends on what your startup business is? Some people are saying that business has never been better, while others are going belly up.

I suppose this type of market really tests your business to make sure that you have everything right, rather than just floating on a good economy.

So my answer is yep, it is a good time to start a business, if you can make it work in a down turn, then when the economy starts to go back up you will be in a fantastic position.

Thats a really good point, if you can make it work in a slow economy and downturn in consumer spending then when it fire up again you are going to be laughing all the way to the bank.

    I like it!!
