    Default Weak USD hurting you?

I sell second hand refurbished systems.

The weak USD means new systems are cheaper, and the cost of a 2nd hand system is dropping.

Eg, I was selling 3ghz p4 systems for 200, they are now selling for 120.

    Not good.

    Are you guys noticing anything?

Worked the other way when i was in the promotional and marketing materials industry. When the US dollar was stronger, buying from China ment paying more... as soon as the AUD strengthened and the US dollar dropped, our goods were a little cheaper...... However, then Oil prices took a hike and the chinese economy decided to grow a bit and prices whent up because they had a bit of economic power etc....

Its not actually the weak USD that is hurting me, its the strong AUD!

I am still in London and had hoped to be able to use some of my capital here and trade it in for AUD due to how great it converted.

£1000 would usually buy $2,500, but now I am struggling to buy even $2,000 with £1000, so I am starting to feel it..

Hopefully the AUD gets back to where it should be so my sterling gets a little more valuable again..
