Talking Can you detect a 'phishy' email?

Spotted this at another forum a few days ago, it is a quick test to find out whether you can spot a fake email from a phishing email..

70 %... not too great... However, i rarely respond to emails from financial institutions etc. I usually log in to my account (independently), check my messages in the appropriate places. If it is still leading me to believe it is legit, I will contact them via their own site or on the telephone.

You can never be too careful these days.

I got 8/10 - that ebay one was a tricky one indeed..

I rarely click any links in emails unless its from a friend, if its from a company, I would just go to their site and log in that way.

i find you just look at the url of the link and if the email says your name or not are the best indicators

100% on that test, thanks Brendan.
