    Default Stuck up high

Just thought I would share a silly moment from installing a sign last night (2nd April)

We had this sign booked in for installation at Kogarah, right across from the hospital, police on one corner of the block and the fire station up the other end of the block.

We were putting up one of the last panels and lost all power to the cherry picker. Couldnt start the generator as the electrics didnt work, couldnt use the emergency lower because this switch is also electrical which in my opinion defeats the purpose of having one.

Anyway, jumping around for 20 minutes up there thinking we could get it to start up, I called the police. They in turn called the fire station.

These two young blonde female officers turn up laughing at us from the ground, the firies had their lights on and sirens blaring. They put a ladder up for us to get down and we were grateful as it was getting quite cold.

After messing around with it back on the ground we found it was aloose battery terminal, fixed it and finished the sign off.

I returned the lift to the hire place and told them what happened, so they refunded about 60% of the cost - $200 - which we put in a cheque and sent to the burns unit via the Kogarah fire station to say thanks for their help.

Thought I would give you guys a laugh with this memorable moment for us.

Moral of the story - Even if you hire it, double check everything!
