Captchas

I'm finally getting my brain back online post-baby and moving onto the next stage of my project. I need people to be able to report content I serve from 3rd party websites, but I find that whenever you put ANY kind of contact form online you get vast quantities of spam, so I need a captcha because the contact forms will go back to my users not me and I need to leave a good impression.

Anyone had experience with captchas? Which are good and actually STOP spam?

I'll be integrating this into a custom form so just saying blah package has them isn't going to help me

Check out google.com/recaptcha its a captcha script but they use the information to help digitize books so that all that time spent by frustrated people trying to work out the annoying letters is note time wasted.
