Default 3D WebSite Design - domain names - attn website designers

    Hi,

if you are a website designer and/or a true entrepreneur please read on .........

my name is Mike - if you are looking at this the liklihood is you already have your own website so why would this post be of interest to you ...... please read on

My core business is Domaining. I have the following website domain names for sale, each of them are .com.au names and many of them I also have as .com as well.

Why would you be interested in these names,
    1. there will be significant demand for 3D content in websites when 3D Computers are available on the market - expected by second half of 2011 - whether it be video clips, widgets, flash or other content many will want to be first to get 3D on their sites - the Games and Movie sites as well as major retailers will be amongst the first - I myself will want some 3D content in my current 6 websites related to 3D products and I'm not up to doing it myself
    2. Use the chosen name(s) maybe as a "feeder" to your current site and trap those using 3d Web (site, design, designs, designer, page ... etc) as their search term. Aside from meta tagging and other SEO a url name that contains the exact search term or part thereof ranks very high in the search results right? Many of these names match what will become exact search terms - many of them minus 3D match existing exact search terms, most others match phrase search term (source: Google Keyword).
    3. Sell it (them) on commission to some other web design company - you are likely to have the right contacts in the industry and if you don't want any of these names then earning 10% commission for the sales lead is money for jam and better than doing nothing about this (the entrepreneur in you can see the $$$ signs).
    4. point 4 is for you guys to add other reasons why you should seriously consider these names ........ input here ........ those ideas ticking away .....
I am leaving off the proper tld extension otherwise it will attract a link which will be useless and may incur the wrath of a moderator

Prices (as is expected these days) are negotiable - however keep this in mind, if you need and expect to earn $40/hr for your work then you aren't going to work for $20/hr right?

A guide to the market value of these names is websitedesign dot com.au sold less than 2 weeks ago for $22,000 in an aftermarket domains siten NetFleet http://www.netfleet.com.au/

that will do for now, if you don't like any of these you won't like the others

    cheers, Mike

I like the idea of owning any of these domains but i think they're all fairly out of my price range.

Am I the only one hearing all the Luddites ranting that 3D is akin to Betamax?

Yeah sure, just like there is no global warming.

Go for it - 3D will be standard sooner than you think.

Isn't it simple to register your own domain name as well, if its not already taken.

absolutely - takes only a few minutes, a credit card and about $45.00 (varies) for 2 years registration - Bingo!! - you now have your own website name, now you need a website

There are many many sites out there, try webcentral, netregistry, godaddy etc etc. If by chance the name you want is taken it doea not mean you cannot get it - it possibly may be registered by a domainer, someone who trades in domain names.

Hampers - 3D is on the move with consumer products rolling out - Sony has announced the release of its 3D Digital Camera range with new Cyber-shot models; Panasonic is releasing a 3D Camcorder before end of year; Nintendo are releasing their 3D gaming console this month; 3D Phones will be available from Samsung by years end. 3D consumer products are like an unstoppable tsunami

    cheers,
    Mike
