hey peeps im Josh from Sydney,

entreprenuerial minded and would like some advice.

I dont like generic tips and tricks from people that make money from giving advice, im more into hearing stories from people who "do" and have "done" and are "doing"!

I had 24 websites going, with no help, and the sole administrator (totally alone)

I focused on areas like dating, shopping, careers, and anything popular.

Obviously this was too much too handle and when i was scoring massive hits and not making money i eventually dumped my whole load and started again, and again, and again, each time getting smaller and promising myself i will focus on 1 market, and try to capture as much as i could in 1 industry.

So i tried again and again, and never made any money, i styled my sites like multi-million dollar websites with awesome names and still never made a cent.

Before all this, I made a cheap re-seller site, called blueguminternet.com nothing about it is mine except for the domain name, but crazily enough, this is my only site that ever makes money, the fact that people purchase from this site simply amazes me, and why i cant hook a sale on my multi-million dollar sites is just beyond comprehension.

anyways im back into it again with my careers site, the only site i will focus on for now, so if i can get some advice on getting traffic without paying and spending 18 hours a day online that would be great.

I read stories from people that had booming online businesses from day 1 and although they are full of shit, i still think its so unrealistic, im really in search of some good honest advice from people that have made it not thru bullshit but for real.

As an intelligent young guy I start to doubt myself and wonder where i have gone wrong, when i provide the best product at the best available price, and the best damn site than some of the majors, with better customer service and standards, its hard to see where i have gone wrong????????????? but from experience while i am making money on my crap reseller site, it makes me think about dumbing down my style, i dont know, should i provide a poor service to make more money? it seems to me the worst service i provide is the one that makes cash!

Great to hear you can see through all the junk.. and the only real way to make money online is with a solid plan and foundations.

It sounds like you are ticking most of the right boxes.. but missing out on the vital ingredient.. conversions.

Can I ask what multi million dollar sites you were running? Are they still online? I would love to pick them apart and see why they failed.

Apart from that, welcome to the forums, your drive and enthusiasm sounds great and I am sure there will be people on here that can help you out.

This problem sounds very much like you are attracting the wrong people to your site(s).

You can have the best service in the world. The best prices. 1 billion visitors a day. However if they are not your target market they won't spend a cent.

Try taking a pulse check on who your customers are. The one's who spend money that is. And precision target them.

Good luck with it.

But yet, you haven't told us what your business is?

How are you marketing your product.. have you told others how good your product is? What makes your prices, products, and services better than others?
