I'm not too sure how many SEO guru's we have on this forum, but I'll post this anyway. A SEO contest is an activity awarding prizes that challenges search engine optimization (SEO) practitioners to rank themselves among the major search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and MSN using certain keyword(s). The webmaster forum v7n held one not too long ago with a $4,000 cash prize that you can read about here (http://www.pinoytechblog.com/archives/7000-seo-contest-is-on) and was a massive success. I think someone should hold another contest, but perhaps maybe just for Australians using the .au domain extension and try to rank in Google Australia. If aussietycoon held this, it would be great exposure and you could get some sponsors on board. I recommend you do some Googling to find all the SEO contests that have previously been held and to see how successful they are.
What do you think? Would a SEO competition be successful? Would you participate? Any ideas?
