As a lot of you are big fan's of Yaro Starak, I think you will appreciate this article written over at his blog about how you can make a passive income online, so I thought I would share it with you;

How Can You Make Passive Income Online? - Entrepreneurs-Journey.com by Yaro Starak (http://www.entrepreneurs-journey.com/1641/how-can-you-make-passive-income-online/)

What do you think.. has it changed the way you think of an online passive business?

Look like Yaro Starak is quite well promoted in this forum. I read several posts about him already. Does any one know him personally? or apply his strategies?

I skimmed through the article you sent, it looks quite useful. Thank you for sharing.

I am wondering if some one in this forum who has been successful in creating a passive income, would like to share their experiences with us.

Hey mCards, I know Brendan is making money from online businesses.. but I dont think it's as 'passive' as everyone says it is.. check out this post by him a few weeks back - Is online business what everyone says it is? - Entrepreneur Forum for Australian Small Business (http://www.aussietycoon.com/showthread.php?t=866)

What sort of Online Business are you looking at starting?

Hi Slade,

Brendan is the founder of this forum right? How about Yaro? I read some where that Yaro claimed he made $10K / per month from his blog. How much of it is true?

But it's true that any legitimate profitable business takes time and efforts to build. I'm looking at building some websites offering classified services. Hope to learn a few tips from this forum.

Hi mCards,

Yep I set this place up and run a few online businesses and do some niche internet marketing as well.

I think there is a misconception that if you build a website you will instantly become rich.. not true at all!

I guess its like saying anyone can open a shop, but if the shop is located in a back street where no one walks past and they do no advertising, or dont offer anything different to anyone else how will any find them and buy from them, they wont!

Online businesses require good traffic and good content and the only way to get this is to work at it.

I am working with a few clients lately and we have been spending 4-5 hours per day tweaking and improving their online marketing campaigns, while this work is now paying off for them, its a constant battle to keep them at number one!

I guess the great thing about an online business is it's flexibility, you can do it from anywhere (expect the beach, laptop screens dont work well in the sun!), and run it the hours you like.

Best of luck with your sites, I am sure if you ask questions on here you will be able to find an answer!

Hi,
I realise this is a late reply to this thread, but haven't been in here for a while.
It is possible to create 'passive' income online, although by passive, I mean doing the work once, and being paid over and over. However, in the meantime, the 'passive' part still requires marketing, promoting, list building strategies etc to bring traffic to your site.

This still is relatively passive as you are freeing up more of your time, and not trading so many hours for dollars as you do in a normal working environment. You can also be earning income while you sleep or while you're on holidays etc.

Affiliate marketing can be profitable if you're prepared to do the hard yards with advertising and promotion, but the best strategy is to create your own product/s. Create a number of products in the one niche, each one upselling to the next to build your product funnel and once your traffic building activities begin bringing prospects to your site, you can lead them down the funnel with your higher value products.

Hope this helps.

Following Yaro Starak "mastermind Blog" course (whatever is called) is the fastest way to make Yaro richer... and for you to make NO money.

Yaro makes a living from TEACHING people to make money online... not by MAKING money online using his principles in any niche market apart from the Make Money Online Market

I used to struggle to make ends meet, then I found the Savings Society where I earn a $25 Gas Gift Card each month for each new person I enroll. Plus I earn commissions on every person in my organization, regardless of whether I sponsored them or not! In the short time that I have been in the Savings Society, I have earned more that it cost me to start this business! You can learn about this incredible opportunity by going to http://www.savingssociety.com/paul

I find this topic so interesting, so I thought of replying in this one.

I'm also curious about Yaro Starak, this is the first time I've heard of this name.

Does he really earned $10K just from his blog?

I think this is possible, but for a first timers, it would surely take a lot of time reach Yaro Starak's Level...

$10k would be nice. I have a handful of websites, earning anything from $1-150 per month each from ads. A few more at the high end would be much nicer. None of the sites are especially high traffic (5000 unique visitors a day over all sites). We also fix computers but all the business from that comes from an ad in the local paper, not online :)

I have a new idea for a semi-passive site that looks like it will fill a yawning niche market online but Yaro has summed up my problem - lack of marketing smarts. It'll be 1-3 months before I get this to a marketable point, too. I'd be happy with $10k a *year* not month, to be honest.

There are as many number of ways to make passive income online as there are people. It’s really important to take one of these ideas, experiment with it and then put your own twist on it. I started focused list-building recently and have reaped the benefits. A list is the best way to stay in touch with your prospects.
