I stumbled across this and it looks very interesting..
Google / Bing Comparison by BlackDog.ie (http://www.blackdog.ie/google-bing/search-com.php)
Basically a website that compares your search results in both google and bing..
Its a quick easy way to see how your sites are being ranked..
Anyone trying to do SEO for BING yet?
Very handy tool. I'm not sure what BING uses for SEO, but I'm thinking it would be very similar to all the other major search engines.
If they really want BING to take off, then they really need to do something special with the IE web browser and incorporate BING into that. But this is another story ;)

I never really got into BING ... I didn't think it's search results were as relevant as google.
I do however, much prefer the Bing homepage.
I'll probably stick with google though, as I'm a big fan of their free software.
I've been trying to use Bing as much as possible, just for something different, but I often find myself double checking the results in Google. I really hope Bing does make it big, as having a single dominant search engine forevermore is not particularly appealing.

Bing do have webmaster tools much like Google do.. they aren't as advanced yet, but it does appear that they are starting to tick all the right boxes and should really start to be a contender in the future as far as getting the right results.
I now have a few clients that we do internet marketing for who are starting to get a substantial amount of converting traffic from Bing.. so its being used more and more nowadays.
I have a new website - Online Photographic Dictionary | Online Photographic Dictionary and Encyclopedia (http://photographicdictionary.com) - and it gets 90% of its hits from Bing image search and virtually none from Google, despite it having very good content and an excellent resource for children or english as a second language folks. This irritates me no end, and as per usual I'm unsure how to get more traffic when everyone says "content is king" and I've got content coming out of my ears but not much to show for it.

Bing and Google are search engines that allow searching text and Images and lots of information. Bing and Google are online platforms for the Internet, both providing online services external of regular searching. Simple terms produce similar results in both bing and Google. Bing has been lauded for good natural language searches. In other hand, Google has much better results when searching for practical or accurate terms. This is probably due to its breadth of indexed pages. Bing and Google have many features that enhance the search experience. Most features in bing are meant to provide expediency and quick information, Google features are meant to make search results more exact. Google Is the most popular search engine by far.

As per my opinion, Google is the best search engine, as compare to bing and any other search engine. Google is more famous as compare to bing, google can provide best services...

Lets face it, right now Google have the search engine monopoly, and I think it will be sometime before Bing, or anyone else for that matter, start to close the gap.
On one hand the Google monopoly makes it easier for marketing efforts because you can focus solely on optimising for Google and not be forced to cast too broad a net. The flip side of this, if you can't get it right for Google you are s***w*d.
If/when Google lose their monopoly, we shall all be scrambling back to the SEO experts at a rapid rate.
Personally I find it a little sad that these days having a good business and providing good service doesn't carry the weight it used to. (Oh my, did I just sound like my parents?) :)

According to me, Google is the best search engine as compare to bing, because google is more oldest search engine, bing is new search engine. Google is on number one rank..

@Brendan is bing like google in that if you use their tools then google will put your website in the index faster, i just noted for one of my sites, that i am at pos 11 in google but cannot be seen in bing ?
what is the real difference between the two and why such a discrepancy
Google is great and is #1 but everyone is fosussing on Google which can make it hard to achive the results that you want.
Using another search engine line Bing in theory should be easier to get the results you want (as less people are concentrating on getting good results from Bing) which may help you in the long term if Bing becomes a big player!

Bing is now "powering" Yahoo's search results. The migration started last August and I must say that the results are outstanding!
I have had some recent sales results from Bing Shopping - but have yet to see how much of an impact it has on future ones.
What I wish I could get access to as a selling tool for Google is Google Checkout - but that is another story.

Google is at the moment better than Bing, but we'll see what comes from the Facebook+Bing collaboration.
Sometimes when I'm trying to google everything about a subject, I use Bing too. It gives you some relevant information that google was not able to find.

Only Search Engine I use is Google - I find the others a pain in the rear. Plus I used Google Chrome and Android so it only makes sense for me to use the one. From a SEO Point of view, i find that most people use Google anyway.

Seriously I'm over the Bing Search in Facebook - it's rubbish. I really wish they would team up with Google and provide a tool that can search effectively... for example i often look for posts etc. that i listed months ago, to only find that i have to troll back through my Facebook profile to find them.

Google and Bing both search engines are really good but mostly used search engine is a Google. Google provided very fast search result and also lots of link on one keyword. Bing is mostly used for SEO. Both are best Search Engine.
bing is still light years ahead of google.

I SEO for Google as they are far ahead of all the others when it comes to search share so all my efforts go into the best returns on investment…I rank well for some key words on Bing and very unexpected.....just a bonus…but something to keep an eye on.

Come on guys, bing is yet immature, although, it has been affiliated with Microsoft, yet it will take enough time to get mature and come to the level of Google. Google is simply on top and is best in all aspects.
you can say between union finder to search yahoo bing

Bing search results are not always relevant and they can actively filter things that compete with Microsoft. Google is fast, accurate and concise.

I think now there is no discussion that Google is much better than the all search engine in the world. I know that Bing is performing well in these days and there are many fans who are start working on Bing but Google is still best.

Google is a most popular search engine.
Bing is going more usable.
So it's a confusing question.
Bing is going now better than google in quality, performances and things like showing page's some matter at right BUT GOOGLE is the Best for me.
Google searches a exact search that bing can't. So use google whenever bing not gets a exact searching formula.
I've tried both. And the result is Google. Google have given me a lot of right results. But when I used bing, i can't got right results.

Freelance contractors provide expertise, knowledge and man power without becoming an employee. They work as non-payroll employees and bills the company for the services provided. Now more than ever, freelance contractors have surged high in numbers. Along with this increase are the scam artists who have now become common

Google is big brother, and always will be.
Little brothers Bing and Yahoo are progressing but they have a long way to catch up.

If you have followed the news lately you may have noticed articles about Bing stealing Google’s search results on all major tech blogs. Lifehacker, Download Squad, Neowin and dozens of other blogs repeated what the original source over at Searchengineland claimed.
According to Danny Sullivan’s article Google setup a honeypot to lure Bing into the trap. Google manipulated their search engine to rank honeypot pages for 100 words that neither Bing nor Google have found matches before. In the second step 20 Google engineers began to run test queries from their home computers running Internet Explorer with Suggested sites and the Bing toolbar enabled. The engineers were also asked to click on the first search result on Google that would come up.

Although my websites are all geared towards getting big results on Google, I get some good organic results on Bing as well. I don't do anything in particular to get those results apart the typical SEO practices that I use for Google, but Bing seems to like the content I produce.
As long as you continue producing quality information, there's always a chance that Bing will pick up on it. No doubt that RSS submissions are helping as well. I also get some decent results on Yahoo.
