So we all know about the fan pages on Facebook, heck even AussieTycoon has one - ( Incompatible Browser | Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/pages/I-want-to-be-an-Aussie-Tycoon/109566006014) ) !
Well Facebook have released an update to those with fan pages, and it allows you to put a fanbox on your website check out this article from cnet - Facebook debuts 'fan box' tool - Internet Applications & Software (http://www.cnet.com.au/facebook-debuts-fan-box-tool-339297334.htm?feed=rss)
I think this is a fantastic idea, and something that could be very useful for internet marketing and blog writers to promote and get users to interact with their sites.
What do you guys think?
What an interesting move, as it says in the article Facebook is really starting to spread the brand outside its facebook.com domain. So I reckon this combined with facebook connect could be a really big boost for some websites..
So, when is AT getting facebook connect? :P

We might try and get it integrated over the weekend if we get a chance!

Facebook has worked well for me.
It took a while for my group to get going, but to date it's going pretty well.
I get quite a few inquiries from it.

I think it works well because it really adds a human element to your website.
Seeing real human faces of people who are fans / customers who are interested in your business and interacting with your business gives people a warm feeling - and thus are more likely to take the plunge and respond to any call to action to put to them.
I like it.
Jake - how did you go getting people to join your Facebook Fanpage? Any tips?

The first 50 or so were just my personal friends, then I sent out a message to everyone asking them if they could invite their friends.
A lot of my friends also run businesses, so I would offer them a trade ... I invite all my friends to their group and they invite all their friends to mine.
I think it's hovering around 400 from memory and jump about 10 or so per day.
I've also got a link to it on the contact page of my website.
Regards,
Jake

Awesome!
Just found your website - very cool!
Facebook friends seem to be a good way to get some initial leverage - especially if they share a common interest.
Thanks for sharing.
