Its the usual scenario, the way all these internet marketers make money is not necessarily from selling niche products, but selling products teaching you how to make money online.. its a very lucrative niche!
I came across this post by yaro starak - Yaro Starak - Australian Blogger Making $10k+ per month! - Entrepreneur Forum for Australian Small Business (http://www.aussietycoon.com/showthread.php?t=58)
Its a fantastic blog post about why the many people who try this fail, and those who are successful are REALLY successful.
Out of interest, do any of you guys pay for any of these types of products? OR even make money blogging?
I have bought a few $9 e-books here and there, and I even bought one of the products promoted on AT - Appbid | Make Money on Facebook Now! (http://www.appbid.com/articles/ebook-how-to-make-money-on-facebook)
Some are good, some are bad, I think if you can learn a little from some products here and there then its not all that bad.. as the old saying goes, knowledge is power.

Yeah - this is kinda fun.
I think a lot (not all) of education providers who promote how to make you rich only make themselves rich.
Have you seen those signs at traffic lights etc that say things like "Make $200k a year working from home part time!"? I know a girl who basically sells people a business system such as a life coaching program to enable them to be life coaches, they pay her to learn it, then pay her to use the system, and then they on sell it - it is basically a pyramid marketing scheme with just enough 'real' business acumen to avoid running a foul of the relevant fair trading legislation.
But these things only work if there are enough stupid people around to buy them.
That said there is some good information out there I am encouraging my girlfriend to start writing a blog to generate affiliate income. This Yaro Stark guy looks like he is no idiot and knows what he is about. Great attitude also.

This sort of thing has been going around for years, I think one of the most well known 'entrepreneurs' that uses this type of business to generate income is Robert Kyosaki, his primary source of income these days is from teachng course on how to become rich.. and thats what has made him exceptionally rich.
Yaro is a fantastic operator and has made money from actual businesses which is why he is actually a credible blogger, and he gives most of his information away for free.
Another excellent initiative that I recommend everyone should try this year is the Thirty Day Challenge - Thirty Day Challenge (http://www.thirtydaychallenge.com) - it starts in August, is free and is probably one of the number one free courses out there for internet marketing, and is a must for those who are looking to get in on it!
Ed dale (The Underachiever Life | (http://www.tubbynerd.com)) runs it and he is an Aussie.. we are slowly taking over the world. :)
