So it looks like Optus have already started planning the launch of the iPhone 3Gs in Australia, with plans already in place.

Optus' flagship deal will offer the 32GB iPhone 3GS for $0 upfront on a $99 "Timeless" plan for 24 months.

The plan includes unlimited calls and texts and 1.5GB of internet data, and will cost a minimum of $2376 over the period of the contract.

I guess it's not too bad a deal, I think they have sold a bit short on the 1.5gb of transfer, I would expect a bit more from such a media heavy handset.

So who is going to get one? and I wonder if they will offer an upgrade to existing iphone customers?

Gerry, the magic looks like a great phone.. but I can't help think you would be better off waiting for the HTC Hero - HTC Hero Hands-On | Gizmodo Australia (http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2009/06/htc-hero-hands-on/)

Now that looks like an awesome phone!
