The Hive is networking for entrepreneurs. We get together to share advice, talk and hang out. Membership is free and easy, and everyone’s invited. If you have an idea and want to launch a venture or already have a venture already then make sure you come along.
What you can expect:
- An introduction to The Hive
- Plenty of time to chat to fellow entrepreneurs and others interested in entrepreneurship, exchange ideas, tips etc.
- A short presentation by James Masini from Hippo Jobs.

Hippo Jobs was launched in 2007 and experienced immediate impact targeting the 15-24 year old casual job market. The business was the brainchild of James Masini (24 years old) that while at university was experiencing difficulty finding part-time and casual employment to fit in around his university commitments. James developed a business plan and was successful in attracting substantial seed funding from such investors as Janine and Jeff Allis from Boost Juice, Mark Besen from the Sussan Group, Sportsgirl and Highpoint Shopping Centre, Peter Jordon from Deloitte and a number of other amazing investors.
With a fantastic run at the market since launch, Hippo has been able to deliver impressive growth with revenue, candidate’s registration and job placement throughout Australia and is fast becoming the premium destination for Australia’s youth looking for Part-time and Casual jobs.
