· SEO is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via search results. Typically, the earlier a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine

If you have recently created your website then it is highly impossible to get it a page 1 rank without the help of a leading search engine optimization service provider. SEO service providers help a person to get the best exposure for the website and will surely help one to reap the maximum benefits in the long run.

Yahh your right Stephen01:)
make sure you advertise (Source: http://webnet77.com/webstuff/tips.html#christmas) your site in popular search engine as many as you are can. such as google, yahoo, bing, ask, AOL, etc.
and have as many as you can do to link your site in other site, cause the more links that pointing your site, has a high possibility to recognize by search engine.

I'm on the same page as Adam here. I have a lot of SEO knowledge but as a copywriter I place more emphasis on creating a website that engages the ideal target audience. The title and description metatag can be used to place certain keywords, but these too also must sell your site to browsers who are seeking your particular solution.
BTW, % Keyword Density is not worth worrying about these days. However, page-based optimum keyword phrases are good to keep in mind while writing.

I have been told by our web developers to rename PDF's within the site to names or words that are more likely to be searched. Is this enough to ensure some of our documents and education tools get returned when a specific subject is searched?

Hi PowerofWords, just out of interest what rate do you charge for copywriting. I will be making a website soon for my web design company (we've been operating since March, but have had clients constantly and haven't had the chance to make our own page. lol). I can take care of the SEO myself, but I really want our about us etc pages to help sell our service. Also do you have some examples of your work?
