I read in the paper today that over 40,000 people lost their jobs in december, that is massive!

Does that mean that more entrepreneurs might start to emerge as they are forced to go it alone, will this year, be the year of the tycoon?

Massive drop in full-time jobs (http://business.theage.com.au/business/massive-drop-in-fulltime-jobs-20090115-7hdk.html)

What do you think?

I think so.

With a lot of well educated professionals finding theselves unemployed, with little options for employment out there, I think we are bound to have an influx of budding entrepreneurs.

With mortgages and bills to pay, the pressure is on for a lot of people to make money and if they cant do that by being an employee they'll be doing it by setting up there own businesses using payouts they received from employers.

Due to the internet the entry level to start a business these days is very low.
