I like the overall design, its nice and to the point. Is it intentional that you have like a haze over the photo? its a bit like it has a brown fiter over it? Maybe try brightening it up a little.
Also are you keeping that gradient for the background?

yep agree - change the sign, get yourself a nice blue sky and greenery!! id also get more of a logo...can be simple but just more than you have...the gradient isnt working for me either....a few changes and it will be all good...!

It is a pretty dry topic - have you thought of using a brand similar to nudie (http://nudie.com.au/) ? Something bright and fun?

yea good suggestion ross.. crackers it may be worth trying to create a fun brand out of a dry'ish topic..
Sustainability, especially in IT is a really hot topic at the moment, so you should try and differentiate yourself from everyone else..
Is Recycling all you do? Have you looked at other areas in the IT Sustainability sector such as energy friendly power supplies, low consumption screens etc..?

Not bad. Do you think it will really matter?
My target audience is business and education

I think anything green has potential for a great fun brand, and it could really set you apart from any competitors. Even if you are planning to be B2B - businesses are just a collection of people, and people are who you have to sell to.

Updated now ;)
That design is miles ahead of the first one! nice, clean and simple.
I like that you don't need to click through 100 pages just to find the information, it is all right there on the front page where I can see it.
How do you plan to advertise your site?
Looking good crackers!!!
As Slade said, the important content is on the first page, yet not overpowering or messy. BIG THUMBS UP from me!
