Dubai, Anyone worked there?

I'm heading over to Dubai in a few weeks to work on the setup of a new office, its pretty busy getting it all ready, but should be quite rewarding.

So has anyone been there, can you give me any hints and tips? Any suggestions?

I will only be there for about 6 weeks.. so would like to make the most of my time there.

I haven't worked there, just partyed there. What an absolutely fascinating place it is. You will love it, apart from the heat. Clubbing is great!

Sounds good.. hopefully I will get time to go out and club.. I will be there during Ramadan so not sure how that will affect things.

Did you do any sight seeing while you were there? Can you recommend anything?

Dubai i would tell you is super expensive. My boyfriend to me to remember to watch what you eat there! Sometimes, you order something from the road side and think its chicken bbq, it might actually be rat meat! Poor little friend of mine was a victim to it! haha..

Apart from that, almost everyone's muslim there. Then again, they are one of the richest, good looking hot body (hehe), and more open minded Muslims compared to the other counterparts :)

Well I am now in Dubai, its certainly still a huge construction site! It also happens to be the holy month of Ramadan, so thats pretty interesting - I cant eat or drink in public during the day, and nothing is open until the sun goes down!

Interesting place thats for sure :)
