Hey all, I was just reading this article (Quarter of borrowers expect mortgage woes | NEWS.com.au (http://www.news.com.au/business/money/story/0,25479,24064016-5013952,00.html) ) and it shows some research on how the rate rises and housing prices are affecting Australians, here is a quick quote..

"While 46 per cent of non-property owners would ideally like to purchase property in the next 12 months, only 15 per cent stated that they would be in the financial position to do so,'' the report says.

"Investment property owners are more optimistic about the current investment property market, with 54 per cent believing that now is a good time to purchase.

"Only 23 per cent of non-property owners believe that is the case.''

So, where do you fit in.. how is the current situation affecting you?

Hiya,

The general economic climate isn't really affecting me.

Wherever we go, whatever the economy does, the market is going to play out as the market wants to and not many of us can dictate terms to the rest of the world.

All we can do as individual investors and businesspeople, is deal with each scenario as it arises, as best we can.

Personally, I already own property (which is nice) but won't be buying any more for a short while yet. More focused on building up these businesses, first :)

Cheers

James.

While the depreciation of dollar has affected the IT industry and It made its impacts on the Real Estate market also. It is yet to be seen how the industry survives during inflation.
