Hiya,

I'm James, found this place through a linking post on the Somersoft forum - thanks Brendan!

I'm 22 (had to think about that for a minute!) and been involved in the whole investing and businessing thing since I was about half that age. Family influences and whatnot, y'know...? I'm doing ok for myself so far, only work (I'm an accountant, but don't hold that against me!) when I want to (which is kinda nice) and live a decent enough lifestyle.

Always on the lookout for new ideas and different ways of thinking. I'm the sort who values books like The E-Myth for the thought processes that it provokes for me, moreso than the instructional content.

I like the look of this forum. Hopefully I can contribute something worthwhile and learn a few things, too. Hmm, how cliched. But, I'm sure y'all know what I mean.

Cheers

James.

Hi James welcome to the board.

Great intro - Hopefully you can find what you are after here, add something, or contribute something!

So, what are your goals for the next 5 years?

Hey James, welcome to the forums :) there are a few SS'ers lurking here now.

I guess with having yes2 in your sig you know/work alongside shonnie?

So apart from being an accountant.. what else are you into?

Hiya,

Thanks, guys.

Financial goals for the next five years is to trade shares and property with a view to holding a good stock of blue chips in both. Will also be growing my accounting firm significantly, too :)

Personal goals include a whole heap of fun stuff :D

Thanks for the feedback on Yes2, JD. It's a bit of fun and will hopefully develop into something worthwhile. Like this forum, it seems, the main struggle is getting people to find it. I'll be getting some ads and stuff happening soon, though. Shonnie, the other half of Yes2, is a close friend of mine.

Outside of the accounting / investing stuff, I spend a lot of time causing mischeif with the boys and kicking back with my girl. She's pretty awesome. Lots of travel and fun stuff like that on the agenda soon, too.

The family type people have been doing the investing / accounting thing for awhile, too. The parentals retired last year at age 42, 43, so I've been involved in this stuff since I hit high school, really.

I like this place. Should be fun :)

Cheers

James.
