HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!

Heya everyone! Hope you had a good NYE party, I know I did :p

So lets hear it, what are your plans for 2008? What are some of your goals you want to accomplish?

I'll start - I want to try and start a second income by doing some of my business on the side and try and get clients so I can hopefully open my own salon in 2009.

Hey good one!

I have set the exact same goal, to make at least 50k from other sources aside from my primary income...

I think it is achievable, just need a bit of persistence and a good plan.

Absolutely the same goal as me guys.

$50k annual earnings from sources other than my 9-5 job.

I don't think that by 31/12/2008 I will have earnt $50k from these other sources, however, I am aiming for my income p/w to grow gradually to the $50k rate ($1,000 p/w) by the end of 2008.

My main goal is to get all my online businesses in shape. Its going to mean many sleepless nights at the computer but I hope to get all my online websites getting nothing less than 100,000 u/v a month. Something that is real tough as I am only getting 10 u/v a day. But hopefully I will.

Well, lets do a check up.. how is everyone going on achieving their goals?

Online so far this year;
- I have released two sites, both making about $100 a month
- Secured a few Internet consulting jobs, totaling $3,000
- Sold a number of hosting packages $200

Offline
- Miscellaneous banking investments - $250
- Investment Properties - $50 per month

So In total from Jan this year I have secured outside a 9 to 5 job approx $3,550, $300 of which is monthly recurring..

Sure it's not enough to quit work on, but its a start!

I think a key to success is to do a spot check and make sure you are still on track.

How are you guys going with your goals?

We had the first thehive.org.au (http://thehive.org.au) event and had 50 people there which was awesome.

CoverHunt has gone from $240 revenue last month to an estimated $500 by the end of this month.

I've gotten a fair bit of code done for my new project too.

My goal is to get five sites making nothing less than $1,000 USD a month. That is my goal and I hope to get there. So far for January it has been slow but I got some real good plans that another designer is helping me work out. Should be finished by the early part of next month which means I am on track for my goals.

i'm curious whats with the magic number of $50K ?

My goals for this year are:

- between 1st Feb 2008 and 1st February 2009 have read 52 new books on wealth, personal development and business. (so far i've read 5 so i'm on track)
- get 30+ users regularly contributing to my Entrepreneurs Resource website
- buy build and flog 2 businesses during 2008.

Not to sure why there is a 50k golden number, I guess most of the guys on this forum are running businesses as a side job to their 9-5

Got some good goals there Carl, would be great to hear your progress throughout the year.
