Software Development
In the little spare time that I have, I have been developing an application for the wine industry.
I have worked within the wine inustry previously and have gained enough knowledge to be able to come up with a program that I believe will be an great asset to winemakers and winery managers.
The potential for this project is enormous, especially with international markets. France and America in particularly but also in the emerging wine producing nations, Chile, Argentina, South Africa, etc.
All of these programs have been developed to be as cost effective as possible (ie no third party royalties involved), every cent made on a sale is ours.
I am at the point where I have an application that is nearing functional completion, (i.e. it works but it's ugly!).
I am looking for someone who is able to invest some time and money and help turn this idea into a business.
At a rough estimate I would say that the program is one third complete. What I need is to be able to concentrate on developing this further on a full time basis.
Therefore what I need is somebody that can make an investment which would be the equivalent to a paid wage until there are sales coming in.
I estimate that working full time on the project we would be able to deliver a basic, functional, but still very usable application in about four months, with further ongoing development and refinement over another eight months required to deliver a polished product.
The ideal scenario would to find one winery that would be willing to champion this product, maybe let them have the software at a reduced rate in exchange for a weekly wage, and have modifications and updates done to their specification.
The pricing of this product has yet to be determined, but having a good idea of the current competition I expect this product to sell in the $5,000 to $10,000 per user range.
I am not after another techno-geek, what I require more that anything is a "salesman" and a salesman that can close the deal.

Anybody who is interested in finding out more should contact me initialy via email

I also have a number of other smaller applications, most of these would have to compete within fairly crowded marketplaces, but once again a good salesman should be able to realise huge potential.

Sounds like an interesting idea.. what sort of investment figures are you looking at?
