Hi Guys,

A client of mine recently sent me a link to "LinkedIn".... I joined it a couple of weeks ago and am discovering that it's not a bad business networking tool.

Anyone else been using it?

(p.s you can add me to your connections through http://www.linkedin.com/profile?viewProfile=&key=25592171&trk=tab_pro)

Cheers

Hi J_D,

Linkedin is a great resource, my network connections have grown to over 114,000 since I joined 12 months ago, though I didn't start using it for some time. They take a dim view on spamming so take care on how it is used.

Your invite link should look something like this:
www.linkedin.com/in/dkbook (http://www.linkedin.com/in/dkbook)
as the one you have in your post won't allow contact or profile view unless you have a valid connection already.

Would be pleased to have you on board.

It certianly is a great idea, and i like the fact that they don't like spam :-)

I just signed up a while ago and even though it's early day I think it could be a great networking tool. Actually caught up with some guys I worked with years ago.

Thanks Carl, got your invite :)

Linked in is great, it also offers some great little plugins into outlook for managing contacts and emails.. I suggest you look into it if you are a LinkedIn user

Thanks for the tip on the outlook toolbar, very useful and not overly obvious that it was available so appreciate it.
