“I hold fast to my dreams, I stay the course and I do not quit” - Andy Andrews.
This is one of the most important lessons that new entrepreneurs can ever learn. No matter what business you are in or what job you do, success will only make an appearance through hard work and persistence. You can never fail as long as you don’t quit and although you may have temporary defeats, you will never lose as long as you persist.
It is human nature, ever since the beginning of time, to get distracted by things happening around us. These constant detours will never bring you to greatness and the person who seeks success needs to recognise these distractions and learn to ignore them.
During my journey to success I have seen the struggle that we all fight in keeping our gaze fixed firmly on our goals and doing what is necessary to reach it with minimum distraction.
Napoleon Hill said:
“Before success comes in any man's life, he's sure to meet with much temporary defeat and, perhaps some failures. When defeat overtakes a man, the easiest and the most logical thing to do is to quit. That's exactly what the majority of men do.”
“No man is ever whipped until he quits in his own mind.”
Are you one of the majority who quits at the first sign of defeat, or do you stand out from the crowd and show the “sheep” how it’s done?
There will be times when you will feel like giving up. I have been there myself and it is at such times when the persistent person will push through, their mind filled with nothing but the end result they desire. This is what separates the successful person from almost everybody else.
You have to play this game to win and being persistent is the key.
So I have a question for you…
Are you in, or are you out?
Make the decision, stay the course and do not quit.
It is my hope that I have inspired you, the reader, with a strength that will push you through to greatness. It is there for the taking and all you need is the persistence to keep going, no matter what.
Wishing you every success,
Mike.
