G'day guys,
I am currently considering a business proposal based in the US that could be quite profitable. However, my only real concern are around immigration Visa's the work/run a business in the US. Is there anybody here who has had experience applying for the E-3/H1B Visa's for the USA? Or any experience in opening a business in America?
Any info would be greatly appreciated

Hi bderich, I have only been able to come up with and am only aware of the E-3 Visa (http://canberra.usembassy.gov/consular/visas/niv/e3.html)... However as stated on the us embassy site, this visa is only for Aus citizens going to work in temporarily in a specialist field...
I have however stumbled across "ABC's Business Basics" (http://www.abcsmallbiz.com/bizbasics/gettingstarted/investor_visas.html). Check out the link, they have some interesting information for non-US citizens wanting to start a business in the U.S.
HOpe that helps.

I'm a US citizen (currently living in Florida). From what I understand with immigration you would need a work visa and not a temporary visa in order to start a business here. Those can be harder to get than regular student visa's though.
