As a society we have little passion in what we do. We are doing it, doing it, doing it and for what? So we can do it some more. Most of us wander around feeling frustrated and lost, not realising that the most important part of each and every one of us, is actually asleep. It's time to awaken the entrepreneur in us and begin creating again.
Most small businesses start with an entrepreneurial seizure that manifests itself into a job for the creator. We then work in this job doing, doing, doing, until we are burnt out out or walk out. The idea is to work on the business, not in the business. It's the continual creation process and a higher purpose that sees a business truly become successful.

I was just having a look through some of the old articles on here and this struck a chord. Even those running their own business feel trapped sometimes. Without freedom of mind, financial freedom doesn't mean a thing. Do what you love, and you will inevitable love what you do.
In Steve Jobs biography it’s said that Steve did respect Bill Gates for his success of making money. But the only thing money meant to Steve was the earnings = capital to realize his passion of creating extraordinary products which the customers did not know they were missing yet as the customers cannot predict about the future.
So being an entrepreneur can take different directions. Fulfilling your passion is one of them.

Well, my answer is simple: access to capital.
It's hard for small businesses to get money to fund their businesses. Always has been in Australia. Even harder today.

Great point and without trying to be completely shameless, that's an area where our business can help. Mint Business Finance secures business loans for small to medium-sized businesses including start-ups. I'm not going to link on the thread but obviously, there's the choice of finding out more on my signature if anybody is interested.
Thanks for bringing up the issue, Pete.
