Hi All

I'm from Melbourne Seeking Business Partners and Affiliates.

I have owned and managed several businesses since 1975

I've been online over 10 years. Once managed Tandy Electronics Stores and sold point of sale software for ESP management a business owned by Lin Made Corporation in the mid 1980s

At present I make all my income working online at home with good affiliate programs.

Six year ago my business partner died unexpectedly and I had to abandon a good online project. If I could find the right partner I am convinced this project could make great money.

This project is a singles related business.

At present I make my income from affiliate singles sites, a good Australian lotto program, selling webmaster tools and community software.

Hope to get to know people here.

I do run an Aussie forum at Adlandpro and do have many meet ups and attend different member functions and promotions in association with business friends.

Hey rexiedexie,

Welcome to the forums, great to have someone with such a range of experience on board.

So what made you change from a bricks and mortar business to a completely online business? Have you been able to replace the income that you would make from an offline business?

Welcome to AT rexiedexi. Over the many years you have been in business, what do you think your biggest challenge has been?

I was not able to find a new business partner since Max Carter died. I have had a bad back since I was 22 years old which now days restricts me and gives me heaps of pain. Not getting any better as I get older so I need a partner to be able to run a business or work offline.

A good offline/online singles franchise business which I designed would make the owners or investors a fortune but I need a business partner some venture capital some more expertise and some assistance to make it work.

Would still love to find a partner but if not, I am content with what I earn now which gives me good easy living.

Hi Slade

Slade you have to persist persist persist , It's the unknown factors, things you did not factor in that cause you the most problems.

Once when I was building a brake and clutch business I was evicted from small factory even though I was told by the owner I could stay as long as I liked. The local council did not like all the cars and action.

I leased a new big factory and the week I moved in and put on new staff all at great expense, there was a snap petrol strike which lasted for 6 weeks. No cars no business no income for 6 weeks.

Thing like this can hurt many small businesses.

So also don't be under capitalised, but thats easier said than done when you start off as a one man business.

Hi Jerry

I got interested in introduction agency businesses in the late 1970s.

I opens a business in Melbourne in 1980 and developed software to match people and by 1984 had the biggest introduction Agency in Melbourne.

My software could easly match 100,000 people.

Later in 1997 I partnered with a friend who had one of the biggest Business Sales agencies in Melbourne and decided to form a comany and do Introduction Agency franchising and also online singles sites.

Unfortunately my business partner died unexpectedly in 2002 so because as I could not find a new partner I went to doing affiliate singles online.

I knew from the very early days there was big money in singles. The biggest introduction agency in Australia turned over $100,000 a week back in 1980.

A company called soulmates stared online at the same time I did with my A Select Choice business. They sold out years later for $22,000.000 dollars
