So guys, where do you want to be in 5 years time? We all have goals, and ambitions.. but would be great to see what your outlook for the next 5 year is.

Me? Personally, I would like to be looking after at least 3 diverse businesses that run themselves and me just looking after the strategic direction of each.

I would also like to have at least one investment property in every state, as well as some profitable online real estate...

And you?

I would like to have a number of websites up and running that can help me make a passive income.

I guess I would like to get into property and stocks as well.

Have a couple of businesses that run themselves to be making enough money for me to concentrate on producing theatre and film and hopefully be looking at putting on a fairly high budget show that tours Australia.

On a continual path of improvement...IMROVEMENT TO A FERRARI!

But in all seriouseness - would love to have at least 2 businesses that are profitable and do not require my everyday attention. And doing some high-paid marketing growth consulting on the side!

There was a 2008 ferarri F430 Spider with around 1,000 km's on the clock up for sale on Greys Online... apparently the accountant said it had to go... costly things...

Another re-possesed car: http://www.graysonline.com.au/sale.asp?SALE_ID=116490

5 years time, I would like to have enough money to not have to worry about money ever again, and use the money and my time to help others (in between surfs) :)

Hah, where to start,

To be happy, healthy with my gorgeous family . . . . and. . . . .

To cut it short,

I want to have enough passive income to never have to worry about the downside on the Property Cycle again!:)

PS: And I also want another 5, 6 7 properties!

Regards Jo

Bah, Somersofties :P

We do actually have a 5 year plan, but it started at the start of 2008 so now its a 4.5 year plan ...

- Be living in a small castle on a large block of land somewhere with broadband (I just like castles, and keep drooling over a large house with a tower with turrets down the road from me). I will settle for broadband coming to me instead of having to move to somewhere with broadband, and I will also settle for being rich enough to pay $3000 a month for wireless broadband in the absense of terrestrial, although I'd prefer it if Telstra reduced their pricing a little.
- Be able to send Child #1 to some posh private school or military boot camp, depending on what she's like as a tween
- Have the IPs paid off, maybe two or three more as well, nothing special
- Modest income from my own website, maybe $10-15k a year
- Have our main project finished, up, largely running itself, and being infamous on the internet, with 5,000-10,000 subscribers.

All perfectly achievable within 5 years.

In 5 years I hope to be:

Living in a fully paid off house located on approximately 20 acres of land close to a development/growth corridor (probably SE melbourne).
To be largely self sufficient for food requirements (other than meat and probably fruit)
To be largely self sufficient for wood fire heating requirements
To hold enough assets to generate $60~$100k pa

Cheers,
