I'd put it all in a high interest account at 7%. leave it there for two years... then take out 100k (made on interest) and buy a brand new Alfa Romeo Spider with Autodelta kit.... ;-) got to indulge sometimes . hehe

I have driven those Alpha's, to tell you the truth I am not a huge fan, I had it for a whole weekend when I drove across england, it went quite well, looked good.. but just wasn't very comfortable to drive.

If I had $1mill, I would invest 500k into a high interest account, invest 300k into my businesses, invest 50k into the share market and then the rest into real estate.

I'd put it in the bank and use it to fund my startup. I'm not sure my life would change much.

I had a chat with a few people about "If you won tattslotto would you tell anyone?" and most people said no. If nobody knows you have the million then you can just go on with life as normal :)

Hrm, possibly.. but I have owned performance cars my whole life. I started with a heavily modified VL turbo ( no comments please :P ), then I imported an R33 Skyline and had that heavily modified also, then I turned even more boy racer an bought a Subaru Impreza WRX.. and you guessed it.. had that modified also.

So after having all those cheaper type cars, the alpha just didn't do it for me. My opinion only of course :)

Fair comment Brendan. Don't think we can group an Alfa in the performance car group though (based on figures)... And i will sadly admit that it isn't as comfortable as the Wrx..... VL i shall comment not. hehehe Wanna buy a 2003 phase 3 face lift GTV? lol.

Anyway, good point you make about not telling people about the million... I had not thought of that Ross.

I would first go out and buy one of the new GTR's (damn they look nice)
Put $500k or so in a High Interest account, Mabie $50K in stocks and with the rest go out an buy a house so I had no Mortgage.

I wouldn't be very imaginative unfortunately - maybe buy a nice-ish house to live in.....actually a million would only pay a portion of this:
