Facebook & Making Money!

Guys,

Are you all on Facebook? I've been on it for about 6 months now have been heavily looking at ways of making money from it.

My first attempt was buying some Facebook Applications, this turned out pretty well, I basically flipped the application, which meant buying it at a low price, gathered users to install it, then I sold it on at a profit.

Just to put things into perspective, I bought the app for about $250 USD, took about a week to build up its users, then sold it on for $500 USD a week later, so in a week and about 1-2hours work in total I made a profit of $250.. I guess all I need to do is replicate that about 5 times a week and I'll be well on my way to a bit of freedom :)

Has anyone got any suggestions how we can make money from Facebook and other social network like MySpace?

Wow. Sounds quite interesting. I have been thinking about starting a myspace app but I lack the programing skills to do it so I am looking to assemble a team to help.

yea it will be interesting to see what happens with myspace and the applications, do you know of any that are around at the minute, or people who program them? I would be interested in checking that area out..

Currently I only know of a couple of apps but I am interested in doing a web 2.0 flash php based script. I am trying to put together a small team of developers who could work on a couple and offer it as a free web resource. Money would come from ads that are on the app and the site.
