Answer: Get a puppy!

We just picked up this 8 week old chihuahua x mini-foxie on the weekend, and the first day back at work is turning out to be a nightmare! I've done maybe 25% of what I would normally do on a work day, not good...

But he is very cute, and he is keeping me company during these lonely days in the home office. Here's a quick video of the little bugger trying to take on my footy boots:

So does anyone else work from home with an attention craving dog? How do you make it work for you? The situation I mean, not the dog! ;)

Don't have a dog, but do have a very vocal cat. Can be damn awkward when you're on the phone and she starts crying like a baby. Seriously, the sound she makes is like a baby crying. :)

Not sure I've figured out how to work around it yet. At least she doesn't talk back when I'm having a whinge and a gripe.

I find the best way to ruin my productivity is to do so in a productive manner.

I like to go here (http://creativitygames.net/generator), pick a game and see where it takes me. Normally after a while I get some inspiration then I get back to work.

popurls.com (not spam, promise)

great site that aggregrates a lot of different news sites. Whenever I visit it, somehow 3 hours seem to disappear.

I had a baby 6 weeks ago. I can't say I've got a great deal of anything done in that time, nor the 2 weeks before hand since I hit a good place to stop in my current project and thought it was better to stop between coding subcomponents than right in the middle of one when you know you're going to have a long time off coming up.

He's pretty good though and getting better, I'm getting better sleep now and my brain is coming back online, so its all good.

The best thing is - I can see my feet now! Oh feet, how I have missed thee ...
