Crazy John has some amazing ordinary to riches story. Just I am not fully versed in his rise and rise and rise, and ultimate demise.

Great story…I remember buying a couple of phones from his shop in Sydney Road Brunswick….one of my sales reps played soccer with John and there was never a bad word said about him.

My understanding is John would buy mobile phones wholesale one at a time sell them and go back for another and another etc until he got the shop in Brunswick….the places was jumping full of excitement deals been done phones ringing, there was people waiting to be served…. The shop was a bit grotty when I went there…nothing special. Parking wasn’t the best, and then Sydney Road was never easy to park…

Then John did a deal with Telstra which set him up and made lots of cash from it… although the deal went sour with Telstra I wouldn’t have said it caused his demise in fact I didn’t think there was one…the family still rates highly in the BRW top 200.

His death was a sad loss to the Melbourne and Australian business community; he died so young and was a great family man.
