Hey All,

As part of recognising your contribution to the forums, over the next week or so we will be introducing an advertising network on the site, as you may see from the bar on the right. -->

What we intend to do with this is reward contributors to the forum with Advertising Credits that can then be exchanged for ad space on the site.

Advertising Credits (Ad Credits) will be given automatically to members who post and contribute to the forum, start threads etc.. so the more activity you have on the forum, the more points you get and the better ad space you get!

We also intend to introduce a revenue sharing model to the forum, i.e we will integrate google adsense into the forums, and if you include your google adsense ID, ads that get placed on this site during any posts you make, will make you money if they are clicked! So you effectively get paid to post! Not bad huh?

Anyway, thats it for now, I'll keep you updated on this over the next few days, but its a pretty exciting time here at AussieTycoon!

Stay Tuned!

Sounds Good, although I personally would rather not have Google Adsense on the site at all, I come here for conversation and advice.
The click through rate on a site about online entrepreneurs is going to be shocking aswell.

Hey jam,

Thanks for your feedback, the main Advertising Sharing will be done on the right where you can see the google banner is now, this will ideally be replaced with ads from our members, promoting their services and products, and they can buy places on this sidebar with credits they earn using the site!

Some google ads will be placed throughout the site and will hopefully be a little more tasteful and less intrusive, it is these ads that will generate revenue for the thread poster and contributors to the forum if they include their google adsense id.

We are still trialing and testing the best methods and will hopefully have the working model ready within the week.

We do appreciate everyone's feedback, so please let us know what else you think may work!
