Good evening,

my name is Alex, I've just joined aussietycoon. I live in Melbourne.

I have a decent experience in general business, entrepreneurship, Internet projects development and management. I'd run interactive design and web development agency for 10 years and worked in finance 7 years before.

My current business provides consulting in such area as Internet business strategy, IT outsourcing and web development (where I can provide turn-key solution: from business analysis to site promotion via my company and partners).

I am also getting MBA from Melbourne Business School degree now (currently half-way) and in the future plan to run some new online business.

So with your MBA studies, are you doing this because you genuinely think you'll benefit from it, or do you just want those three letters after your name? I don't say that to be a smart arse, it's just that I know a few guys who've completed an MBA and a few of them only did it for the prestige of the post nominals.

I look forward to hearing more about your business experience.

thanks for question. I am doing MBA because indeed hope to get real benefit from this, not just add "MBA" to my business card. So far I have satisfied with most subjects I completed, most of them were core, like fundamental stuff that any manager should know; as electives I plan to pick-up more subject related with entrepreneurship, so hope it will be even better.

It depends from what kind of person are you, but for me to take a break from everyday business routine and update my skills and knowledge looks like a good way to boost my development.

Also, I think, it depends from school you attend. MBS is considered to be the best in Australia.

My business back in Europe is web development\interactive design company -www.altimawebsystems.com Company specializes in custom web design and development, reach internet applications plus does some graphic design and animation.

That's cool Alex, I'm glad you're doing it for the right reasons. I was about to start my masters degree this year (Master of Applied Finance) however I've since put it off now that I'm working for myself. Hopefully next year I'll be able to get started on it.
