True Local - have you advertised in this directory?

I've listed our business for free in True Local, however, our business postcode determines where our business is listed (hence True Local) and we supply services all around the Melbourne metro and Geelong areas.

Does anyone have experience with paying for a better listing with True Local? How did it work out for you?

It's approximately $100 per month/$1200 per year and I'm considering if it's a better investment to bump up our Google Adwords campaigns.

No disrespect to True Local - who I believe offer a bonafide service - however I think you get the same SEO juice from a free listing as you do for a paid one.

Having said that, we have never paid for a listing with them.

I have a free listing with True Local, but I wouldn't bother with a paid listing. There are loads of free directories out there, it just takes time to find them and submit your details to them.
