Well guys, you might have noticed I haven't been on here that much over the past few weeks.

I have been busily helping launch a new product out to the world and its has gone exceptionally well.

As you know I don't usually talk too much about my businesses but this launch has gone so well, I wanted to share it with you.

The business is targeted a tradies and helping them market their business using the internet and online marketing strategies.... sounds boring huh?

Well thats what we thought.. so we decided to take a leaf out of that Andy Jenkins bloke I was on about in another thread ( this one (http://www.aussietycoon.com/showthread.php?t=1040) ) and try our arm at making a video..

So we made a video, placed it on our website and waited.. a strange thing happened.

We got loads of emails and calls not just from Tradies wanting our stuff...

But hundreds of business owners also called us.

They wanted us to make videos for them and put it on their website.. they practically threw money at us.

So not only are we busy making websites for tradies.. we are also now very busy making videos to put on websites for other business owners.

I guess we do owe thanks to Andy Jenkins aka video boss as if he didnt show us all the stuff he did in his videos we probably wouldnt have made such a cool video..

I urge you to check out his stuff here - Video Boss is SOLD OUT (http://bit.ly/cjOb4N) even if you just watch the first few videos you will lean heaps..

If you can afford to buy the product.. it is definitely an investment in your business.. or even yourself!

To check out our awesome video (ok maybe I am biased..) Jump over to our website.. Trade Websites

So.. do you think a video would work for your business.. ? And how effective have you found video to be for you?

Pretty good video...the Rudd bit was funny. Probably a little shorter would have been good too :) But overall pretty good.

Lol, our first one was about 12mins.. we had to cut it back.

We run google analytics on the video as well to see how long people watch it for.. we found the drop off at about 4-5mins.. so it might be worth making it shorter again!

Web 2.0 The Content Network- Youtube, Article directories, Blogging, Bookmarking and the like are extremely effective tools these days as opposed to the Search Network (PPC Advertising).
The traffic you get from the search network will differ in experience from the traffic you get from the content network. It is known around the traps that the search network is for newbies who are searching for the experts. the content network is where the experts are.
Because of this, there are different methods of marketing to your content network traffic than you would use for your search network traffic.

All the BEST!

Guys,

Youtube have just changed their policy. No more marketing/promotion videos allowed, Value posts only. There are two other video sharing sites that I know of that have followed suit. I would imagine that the rest will, in time, also follow.
Sorry to be the bringer of bad news, just try to help you avoid a Youtube slap :)

Jason

Does that mean they will wipe off all videos from the past....or just new stuff being posted?

Video is becoming the way of the future, and is becoming more readily accepted as bandwidth becomes accessible.
This is also becoming more evident in the e-learning industry.

Did you take the video off your website Brendan? I don't see it there. Video marketing is a great concept. I checked out Andy's site too but it's full :(

I would be interested in this for my home business.

Hi Guys,

I have been struggling to find a good local video production company for a while.
Every time I outsourced, I got poor to average quality.

Recently I met a couple that have allot of experience in acting, filming, editing... etc.

I got them to create a video for me and it looks very good.

They are great, and the price is right... so I thought I may share them with you :-)

They can be found at: http://www.youshine.com.au/

sorry mate, have to disagree with you there.
That is some of the most tacky text animation I have ever seen. Its not really a video, but rather, something cobled together pretty poorly in Flash.

The content has the message you need to portray which is a pretty good concept however, I would agree with Adam in that the text animation is really too much being that it chops and changes so much, sometimes being difficult to read. It looks like it was done in Powerpoint actually.

Let us know how it goes. Good luck mate :)

This is where the importance of online video comes into play. Search engines love video, they actively seek websites with video on them. Video is seen by search engines as current, relevant and user friendly therefore websites with video on them receive a higher and more favorable ranking which means more visitors are likely to go to, and stay on your website longer than sites without video and consequently do business with you.
