Hi everyone,

I'm just new to this forum and would like to introduce myself.....I'm a mother of 2 beautiful girls (aged 2 and 11 months) and started up my Virtual Assistant business about 2 years ago. When I first started up my VA business I thought - WOW I've got a fantastic idea for a business, not realising how many VA's there are!! I was amazed.

There have been many hurdles (some of which I'm yet to get over!!), and some days it's hard to juggle being a Mum and being a business woman, but I'm very lucky to have a wonderful support network to allow me to do both.

I look forward to being a part of this community!

Hi there, just had a look over your website. I love your logo! Well done! And your site is clean and clear. Great testimonials too!

You might like to consider adding your first name to your signature so we can address you by name :). I don't think it was on your website either.

All the best for the success of Your Admin Angels, you're sure to be in demand!

By the way, have you checked out www.businessmums.com (http://www.businessmums.com)?

Hi Gina,

Thanks for taking the time to reply (and to check out my website!!).

I will add my name to my signature....I'm also yet to add a few personal details to my website (such as photo so people know who they are dealing with, I think it's nice to put a face to who you're dealing with).

Thanks again Gina!!

Barb

Lol :). Just go to User CP tab at the top left of the page then under Settings & Options, click on Edit Signature.

You can also add your photo by clicking on Edit Profile Picture. Which reminds me!

Hey Barb,

Welcome to the forums, great to have another 'mumpreneur' here! It is amazing how you guys can juggle families and run a business.. top work!

VA's are really taking off nowadays given the technology thats available.

Where are you finding your greatest source of business coming from? Us entrepreneurial types, or overflow from large businesses?

Also, while you are at it.. why not add your photo as your avatar on the right? would love to put a face to the name :)

Hi Brendan,

Thanks for your reply!! Funny you should say about adding a photo to my avatar - I was only trying to upload one today, but I kept getting an error saying "invalid file". It's a JPG file and well within the size limit for the site, so I'm not sure what's going on

It's taken me quite some time to get my business off the ground (mainly due to having such young kids and not having the time available), so I haven't really had many clients. The few clients that I've done work for have either found me online or through networking and have all been small businesses. My most recent client is a fish and chip / convenience store where I'm doing some basic bookkeeping and onsite office management.

Thanks again,
