Just wondering if anyone is looking to invest in property this year with the global markets all over the place? Do you think its a good time to buy, or just hold out until the storm blows over?

I am hoping to buy a second investment near the end of the year..

It is predicted that rates will rise over the next 8 months or so, then are estimated to have a down turn at the end of the year.. if that is the case my strategy will be to purchase at the peak of the rates being up to hopefully get some great bargains whilst the market is at its worse.. then hopefully when the rates start to drop and confidence is raised, the demand for property will hopefully be increased, in-turn increasing the value of my properties..

If that doesn't work.. then there will still be a huge demand for rentals so I will just continue to rent the property.

It is important to have a plan when investing in property, and a strategy.. if you just go willy nilly into it thinking that you can't lose in property, then you will lose!

Property investing and development is a business in itself and should be treated the same.. Develop a plan, a goal and and numerous exit strategy just as you would for any business.
